March 2021

Climate change is an important driver of global conflict and it is often the countries that contribute the least to greenhouses gases that are worst affected. In the next issue, we talk to experts and think tanks about the connection between climate change and conflict and whether its effects can be ameliorated.

The British Army’s Armoured Trials Development Unit recently tested a new multi-coloured digital camouflage scheme designed to make the Challenger 2 harder to spot. We speak to the team behind the project and explore the technology involved.

We also take a look at the latest in electronic warfare, speak to the CEO of Edge about the UAE conglomerate’s plans for the future, and catch up with General Motors Defense to hear about its current projects and strategy for the year ahead.

When we spoke to event organisers and defence companies last year about the cancellation of events, many were optimistic about a return to normal business in 2021. But as lockdowns and travel restrictions continue, will exhibitions be able to open their doors as planned this year? We catch up with the industry to find out.
