Access to information and data has fundamentally changed how warfare is conducted and security preserved. According to the UK Ministry of Defence, “information is a fully-fledged national lever of power and a strategic, operational and tactical weapon”. In the next issue, we explore the concept of information advantage in the defence and security sector with Leidos director of national security and defence Al Potter.

We also delve into the issue of GPS vulnerability and the potential of GPS spoofing as an attack vector, which creates the need for defence departments and military organisations to consider more resilient sources of place, navigation and time to bolster their defence capabilities.

Also in the next issue, we hear from Rafael how its AI-enabled FireWeaver sensor-to-shooter system can help commanders make better decisions on the battlefield, speak to Aeralis about its modular jet design and its recent contract award from the Royal Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office, and discuss the future of drone technology in defence with drone developer Parrot.
