General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) is a business unit of General Dynamics Corporation which conducts its business through European operating sites located in Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. With more than 1,800 highly skilled technical employees, GDELS companies design, test, deliver and maintain wheeled, tracked, and amphibious vehicles, and other combat systems such as armaments and munitions to customers all over the world.

As one of the European leaders in the land combat systems sector, GDELS has focused itself on four specific divisions with the aim of producing greater synergies and coordination between its 6 production facilities. The four divisions are Tracked Vehicles, Wheeled Vehicles, Bridges Systems, and Artillery & Ammunition, plus a network of R&D centers, and worldwide maintenance capabilities.

GDELS focuses its attention on the development of its products by evaluating, integrating and validating survivability solutions to ensure that our products remain at the leading edge of survivability and quality performance.

With R&D locations in Austria, Germany, Spain and Switzerland and with its shared Survivability Center of Excellence (SCoE), GDELS has a leading position in protected mobility, bridging equipment and artillery systems. Robust System Engineering processes, highly skilled personnel, the latest modelling and simulation tools and specialized testing facilities enable GDELS to design, verify and validate its developments to the customer.

The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programs of GDELS are tailor-made to each customer‘s specific requirements. The customer receives a full ILS spectrum of product support to fulfill missions and tasks either at home base or abroad with the specific aim of having a comprehensive partnership.
