Patria is a modern and international defence and technology company with over 100 years of experience. Through our top-notch experts and Protected Mobility, Defence and Weapon Systems and Sustainment Solutions business areas, Patria ensures reliable operations for our customers and serve as a partner in critical functions on land, sea and air - when it is not an option.
Patria has offices in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, and Japan. Patria is owned by the State of Finland (50.1%) and Norwegian Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (49.9%). Patria owns 50% of Nammo, and together these three companies form a leading Nordic defence partnership.
Patria employs over 4,000 skilled professionals in the defence, security and aerospace industry. Managerial skills and competence development are the key priority areas in human resources management. Unique state-of-the-art technology expertise and decades of experience are the foundation for successful product and service concepts of the future.
Patria has decided to focus its operations on three key business areas with profit responsibility:
Protected Mobility: responsible for new vehicle sales, as well as their offering and deliveries.
Defence and Weapon Systems: responsible for, among other things, weapon systems, air surveillance-related products, and drones, as well as their sales, offering, and deliveries.
Sustainment Solutions: responsible for, among other things, lifecycle support and software products as well as their sales, offering, and deliveries.
Patria's key strengths include deep knowledge of the specific needs of security-critical organisations. However, our own portfolio of products and services must be continuously developed so that the portfolio responds as well as possible to the changing needs of customers.
With diesel vehicles accounting for 30% to 50% of greenhouse emissions at a mine site, replacing them with a battery-electric fleet is a sure way to drastically reduce overall CO2 emissions, but how else can mines benefit from this technology?
Leading underground manufacturers Normet believe the answer lies with SmartDrive. This architecture for battery electric vehicles (BEV) was developed in collaboration with customers, building on feedback, predicting future trends, and assessing the limitations of diesel engines, and comes with a wealth of benefits for operators.
Protected mobility
Patria provides top-notch solutions to enhance operational capabilities in all conditions. Our combat-proven vehicles support superior performance for your mission. Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme: Enhancing defence resilience and cooperation through joint development of Patria 6x6 vehicles.
Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme began in 2020 as a multinational cooperation initiative. The programme was initially established by Finland and Latvia, with the objective of introducing a jointly developed state-of-the-art new armoured vehicle system. The selection was made of the Patria 6x6 vehicle as the platform for the programme.
The CAVS programme has since expanded to include several other countries. As of now, the participating countries are Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Norway and UK. The programme remains open for new countries to join, provided they have similar equipment requirements and receive approval from the existing participants. Patria has already received orders for almost 1000 Patria 6x6 vehicles and has delivered more than 220 vehicles.
The primary purpose of the CAVS programme is to develop a 6x6 armoured vehicle system that meets the common requirements of the member countries. This collaborative effort aims to enhance mutual defence resilience, bring cost benefits through joint procurement, and strengthen European defence and NATO cooperation. The programme also focuses on utilizing local industry capabilities of the member nations, thereby reinforcing the security of supply for the entire collaboration system.

TRACKX
Patria introduced a new tracked all-terrain vehicle, Patria TRACKX, at the DSEI UK exhibition in London on September 9, 2025. It is engineered to navigate the toughest terrains silently and swiftly, ensuring smooth operations in any condition.
Enhancing the mobility and performance of land forces is a key priority for EU countries as they advance their long-term defence strategies. In response to these growing capability needs, Patria has developed a new tracked vehicle Patria TRACKX within the framework of the multinational EDF-funded FAMOUS development programme, in collaboration with its industrial partners and programme member nations.
Defence and Weapon Systems
Patria NEMO is a combat-proven, turreted 120 mm mortar system that combines mobility, protection and precision in a highly versatile fire support solution. Designed for modern mechanised and naval operations, it delivers both indirect and direct fire capability, advanced fire control and the ability to execute multiple rounds simultaneous impact missions, while keeping the crew protected under armour. Its lightweight, modular design enables integration on a wide range of platforms, from various armoured vehicles to fast patrol vessels, making it a unique solution for land and sea operations alike. With established customers in Europe, the Middle East and growing integration opportunities through the CAVS programme, NEMO has strengthened Patria’s position as a global leader in turreted mortar systems.
In early June 2019, mining companies avoided increases to royalties by agreeing to provide A$70m to a A$100m infrastructure fund.

Patria TREMOS brings a new level of mobility and survivability to traditional mortar capability by transforming proven firepower into a modern, vehicle-integrated system. Developed in close cooperation with the Finnish Defence Forces, TREMOS is designed for rapid deployment, accurate first-round engagement and fast shoot-and-scoot operations, helping troops respond effectively in increasingly dynamic battlefield conditions. Its modular integration concept allows it to be fitted on a wide variety of 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and light tracked platforms while using existing mortar tubes, ammunition and ballistic tables, offering a highly cost-effective route to capability modernisation. By combining speed, flexibility and ease of integration, TREMOS expands Patria’s mortar offering with a solution tailored to the evolving requirements of modern indirect fire support.
Patria’s drone offering extends the company’s battlefield solutions into the unmanned domain, combining trusted security, modularity and mission flexibility for demanding defence and authority use. Building on Patria’s strong heritage in aviation and unmanned systems, the portfolio includes systems such as Patria SKY and Patria ONE, designed for reconnaissance, situational awareness, targeting support and multi-mission tactical operations. A key differentiator is secure Finnish design and manufacturing, with authority-approved processes, encrypted communications and the ability to integrate drone-generated data into wider command, control and targeting networks. With these capabilities, Patria is strengthening its role as a provider of networked, future-ready defence solutions across land and air domains.
